John Young Chun Hui, is an Executive Director of Shangri-La Asia Limited, a holding company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Shangri-La Asia Limited owns and operates the Shangri-La group of hotels and resorts, including 19 in mainland China and 2 in Hong Kong.

Mr. Young's nationality is Singapore. He is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from Cornell University in U. S. A..

Mr. Young started his career with the Shangri-La group at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. In 1985, he was appointed to the headquarter of Shangri-La group based in Hong Kong and has been fully involved with Shangri-La expansion in China. For many years, Mr. Young was a Vice President with the management company, Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited, and was involved with the operation and management of hotels and resorts in and outside of China.

Through his involvement with the hotels in China over the last 15 years, Mr. Young personally and actively takes part in overseeing the education, professional training and career development of many Chinese hotel management executives. He is totally committed to the growth and promotion of the tourism and hotel industry in China.
